Meet the rabbits!

Mufasa (Muffy)

Muffy first joined our bunny bury as a baby in 2016. She is one of the first two rabbits (along with her brother, Voldy) that we got. We were told that Muffy was a boy when we purchased her and that she was a lionhead rabbit, so we named her after Mufasa from Lion King. But when we took her in to get fixed, the vet told us she is a girl. She also does not have a mane like our other rabbits.

Muffy is incredibly smart and inquisitive. She has to know what's going on at all times and loves to explore the rabbit run. She is the only rabbit that spends all of "her day out" outside of her cage--even in the rain. Muffy is also an amazing engineer: she has made some pretty impressive tunnels throughout the rabbit run (much to Daryl's chagrin). Muffy is also the mother of Sparky, grandma of Randy, and great-grandma to Appa.

Voldemort (Voldy)

Voldy is also one of our first rabbits, born in 2016. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, so I had to name him this. True to his name, Voldy is a bit of a recluse. He prefers to stay in his box or on his perch (stacked cinder blocks) just outside of his box, so you don't see him outside very much. We like to joke that he's just sitting there planning how to take over the world. ☺

When Voldy does decide to come out of his cage, he is quite the showman. He loves to run and jump and kick (the bunny binky). Voldy also has a beautiful mane that he's very proud of and doesn't like it when we cut it. He is also our only tortoise shell (maybe calico?) bunny. Voldy is devoted to his sister, Muffy, and will only leave the cage after she has confirmed it's safe.

Griz Lee

Griz is an English gentleman with handsome mutton chops and a beautiful orange torte coloring. He somewhat antisocial, unless it comes to his mate Belle. He loves her and is often accused of showing too much PDA. When he was young, he quite good at jumping. This led to him escaping his cage and the unplanned birth of Sparky. Griz is also the dad of Batman and Ugg. Griz still love to run and jump, but he's a scaredy cat.

Belle

Belle is our smallest rabbit. We believe she is part Netherland dwarf because she has the little ears and a rounded face. When we first got Belle, she was a prissy little thing with a bow clip in her fur and silky fur. She would also growl and paw at us if we tried to pick her up. Luckily, she was so pouffy that the pawing had no effect. We got her to be a mate for Griz, but she didn't want anything to do with him. He would chase her around the room all day, and she would run away. That's how she got her name from Beauty and the Beast. Eventually, Belle warmed up to Griz and they are seldom seen without each other. Belle is a wonderful mom. She had three litters, of which we kept Batman and Ugg.
